Spam Control - Most people do not even realize the very powerful tools that are available to them from within their CPANEL (Hosting Control Panels).

We recommend using Boxtrapper to control SPAM. In your control panel under the mail category you will see an option for Boxtrapper Spam Trap.

BoxTrapper Definition:

BoxTrapper protects your inbox from spam by forcing all people not on your
white list to reply to a verifcation email before they can send mail to you.

Click manage next to the user you want to enable Boxtrapper on. Then click ENABLE to turn it on. Once it is on you can modify the settings by clicking on the available option settings. Most of the time the default settings are just fine and no modifications are needed.

One thing that you might want to modify is the edit whitelist option. This allows you to manually add email addresses that you already know send you emails frequently. This means they will not have to reply to the automated message that is sent when an email arrives.  In order for someone to get on your whitelist or ALLOW LIST they must reply to the email message.

Spammers are usually automated messages with no REAL reply to address so you NEVER see the SPAM being sent to you becuase their is no REAL person on the other end to reply to the automated message!
